About Ersula
Born in Jamaica Ersulawas exposed to the island rhythms of reggae and calypso that reflect her personality to this day. Inspired by early R&B legends of the '70s, 80's and '90s, Ersula grew up listening to the Motown sounds from her mother and the fiery Latin Beats and Rock ballads that her father loved. But growing up in the 80's gives her the deep love of dance tunes from Michael Jackson, Prince Journey, Hall & Oats, Lionel Richie, and Madonna. She cultivated her silky-smooth vocals in gospel choirs in Jamaica, Connecticut and Georgia before finally settling in Orlando in 1996.
